Controls are fine, TAP HOLD & DRAG, Don’t just tap
I remember this game fondly when I was young and it’s great to finally have this game on the iPad. One thing I didn’t like about the original PC game was the controls. It was clunky, left and right arrows to turn the body and up arrow to move forward. The game on the iPad at first felt even clunkier, but after realizing I could just hold the screen and drag my finger around and Twinsen will follow it, it made the game a whole lot easier to control. Problem is I think most people will just end up tapping the screen where to go and that just makes it very frustrating. After you realize you can just tap and hold, the game controls really smoothly.
And it’s all there. Everything that made the game a classic. Still of course you get the outdated graphics, but seeing as this is an emulated game, it’s understandable. Even though I’m fine with the controls, an option for a virtual stick MFi controls would do this game justice for different ways to play.
Excellent classic and a definite must have for mobile gamers
